SKYWARD Designer Annika Berger:

Annika comes from a small countryside-village, and both the longing for the bigger cities as well as her love for nature and the woods have inspired her designs. What are the similarities between the urban life and life at the countryside? Annika explores the solitude, the ecstasy of the clubscene; music and lasershows and - still the longing for the sky and northern lights.
Having studied Innovation and Design Engineering, and later Graphic and Textile Design, Swedish-born Annika Berger comes from a genuine design and background. When applied on Fashion Design, her broad knowledge of design engineering in combination with a strong and original sense of esthetics, offers a diffrent and unique take on the use of textiles and print. She launched her own unisex label in 2006 SWD/ Skyward, which explored her longing for the bigger cities as well as her love of nature and the woods through her designs. Annika won the +46 Award in Jan 2008 and SWD has gained a strong international following.
